- What counts as a carousel?
- One build. Asking Caroufy to turn a post into a deck spends one, and everything you do to it afterwards is free — every chat edit, every rewritten slide, every swapped photo, every rollback to an earlier version. Ten turns to get a deck right is one carousel, not ten. A build that fails is never charged.
- Why are scans capped even on Business?
- Because a scan is the one thing money cannot make more of. Walking an account’s audience takes about twenty minutes of queue and spends from a finite pool of real Instagram accounts, shared by everyone. Selling unlimited scans would mean selling something we cannot deliver. Scanning an account someone else scanned recently costs you nothing — the result is reused rather than recomputed.
- What happens when I hit a limit?
- The next action stops and tells you which limit you reached and when it resets. Nothing is charged as overage and nothing is queued behind your back. Monthly allowances reset on your billing date — or on the 1st if you are on the free plan. Groups and creators are a live ceiling rather than a monthly budget, so removing one gives the slot straight back.
- Do I have to connect my Instagram account?
- No, and there is no way to. Caroufy never asks for your password, never logs in as you and never posts for you. It reads public posts from the accounts you choose to track and hands you image files to publish yourself.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from the billing portal, and you keep the plan until the period you have paid for runs out. Payments run through Polar as merchant of record, so cards, invoices and tax are theirs — we store no payment details at all.
- I run client accounts. Which plan?
- Business. Unlimited groups means one per client, unlimited carousels means you are never rationing them across accounts, and a read-only share link lets a client browse their own niche research without a seat or a login. If you need a limit lifted beyond the tier, ask — that is a conversation, not a checkout.
